The folks of Dayton know how to throw a party. It was the 35th annual Dayton Days Weekend which began Thursday evening and finished up on Sunday.

A pancake feed began the day on Saturday along with a poker walk-about town and the 4th annual Dayton Days Mile Run. All this was followed by the parade down Main. Jackie Jackson was there and the best part for her...the music.

Robin Miller came down from Parkman with her husband. She thought the parade was missing something.

After the parade it was on to Scott Park for food and fun. In a week, Joszef Schankey from Ranchester is headed off to college. For him, this was a time to say some last good-byes.

It takes months of preparation to put on an event like this. Bob Alley helped coordinate Dayton Days and says it's the people that make Dayton special.

The theme for the weekend was “Dreams and Legends.” For Mayor Bob Wood, you can't beat the people there.

Other activities included a quilt show, a pet parade, duck race, and lots of music.
