The 2nd annual Sheridan Local Foods Expo will take place this Saturday at Sheridan College. Last year over two-hundred individuals showed up to showcase their products. Kentz Willis with the University of Wyoming Extension Office says that the expo has grown in its second year.
Willis explains that there are a couple of goals with this particular kind of expo.
This year's expo will actually get underway Friday night at 6 o'clock at the Sheridan College Science Building Lecture Hall with a screening of the movie, Vanishing of the Bees. The local foods expo will take place Saturday at the Watt Agricultural Center at Sheridan College from 9 am to 5 pm. Local food producers do not have to preregister and the event is free and open to the public.
