Six contestants will vie for the 2011 Miss Wyoming crown on Saturday, June 25th at the WYO Theatre in Sheridan.
The pageant culminates a week-long series of community appearances and service projects, interview preparation, and rehearsals for the pageant.
The pageant is always centered around an entertainment-filled show, as Kelly Miller-Smart, co-Executive Director of the Miss Wyoming Scholarship Program tells us.
Miss Wyoming 2010, Alicia Grove, will perform throughout the program before passing on the crown to the 2011 winner. Local talent will take part, too, including Chuck & Annie Magera, Danielle Law, Caitlin Stroup, Ron Kensey and Miller-Smart, who will serve as the Pageant MC as well.
And there will be a few past Miss Wyoming winners attending, Miller-Smart says.
The six contestants are: Miss Newcastle, Rebecca Podio; Miss Natrona County, Amanda Jones; Miss Cheyenne-Capitol City, Kendra Henderson; Miss Albany County, Catherine Brown; Miss Laramie, Hattie Lou Byrd: and Miss Sheridan, Emily Ann Burgess.
All the contestants will be guests on Public Pulse, Wednesday, June 22nd.
The Miss Wyoming 2011 Pageant begins at 7 pm on June 25th. Tickets are available at the WYO Theatre Box Office or online at wyotheater.com
