18-Year-Old Sheridan Girl Receives Deferred Sentence on Drug Charges

A noticeably different and overall healthier looking 18-year-old Aline McWilliams of Sheridan appeared before 4th Judicial District Court Judge John Fenn Thursday for the first time since he amended her bond in July, allowing her to attend three months of substance abuse treatment in Casper.

McWilliams was charged in April of this year with two counts of felony drug possession and one count of misdemeanor drug possession after being pulled over with her boyfriend Trevor Dunham on Interstate 90 in Sheridan County. The two were returning from Denver, Colorado where Dunham had purchased drugs to bring back to Sheridan for distribution.

After much deliberation, Judge Fenn elected for a deferred sentence on the two felonies and a six-month suspended sentence on the misdemeanor charge.

Fenn also placed McWilliams on 3 to 5 years probation and reminded her that she's being given every opportunity to turn her life around, and that she should take full advantage of the second chance that she's been given by the Court.
