177 Foot Trailer Carrying Over 400,000 Lbs Comes Through Sheridan

Around noon on Thursday, Sheridan was visited by a very large and very heavy load. An exchanger for the oil refinery in Billings, MT had to be brought through Sheridan due to its size according to Ronda Holwell, Public Information Specialist with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, who spoke with Sheridan Media before the truck came through town.

The equipment started its journey in St. Louis, Missouri on April 12th and it weighed in at almost 430,000lbs. With the truck pulling the load and the one pushing it, the rig was approximately 177ft long and the trailer had 80 wheels on it. Thanks to escorts from the Wyoming Highway Patrol and the Sheridan Police Department, the rig made it through with no problems.
