Shelter Hosts Pet Costume Contest

Pets of all shapes and sizes will converge on Kendrick Park in Sheridan this Saturday (Oct.26), as the 13th annual Pet-O-Ween pet costume contest will take place at the bandshell in the park. The event is a fundraiser for the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan. Shelter Executive Director Cel Hope says that the contest is a good time for pets and owners alike.

The contest will begin Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, with registration to take place prior to the event. There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for scariest, most creative and funniest costume. Entry fee is $5 per animal, with all of the proceeds to benefit the shelter.
