The culmination of the 2010 week-long Y-ARTS Theatre Camp will be tomorrow at The WYO. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has the details.
For the past several summers, Y-ARTS Summer Theatre Camp has produced a fully realized musical in just one week's time. This year, the campers are bringing “Disney's 101 Dalmatians – Kids” to the stage. Kaylin McKinley plays one of the greatest villains of all time – the infamous fur coat-wearing diva, Cruella Deville.
Emma Hall, a junior at Sheridan High School, has gone from being a participant in the camp to serving as a counselor. She explains how they've put this show together in just one week.
The show is comprised of many breeds of dogs; Emma is in charge of the Chihuahuas and choreographed a dance for them. So are there really 101 Dalmatians?
The free performance of “Disney's 101 Dalmatians – Kids” is Friday, July 2nd at 2 pm at The WYO Theatre, and all are invited to attend.
