Water Board Adopts New Policy

The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board approved a new policy that will affect customers prior to June 21, 1989, who've not yet connected to the system, but have paid the minimum base rate since September 1, 1994.

A perpetual fund set up for the Johnson County Family YMCA by the county commissioners was released to the YMCA at their request, after being approved by the county commissioners at their meeting Tuesday.

Mayor Says Run Faucets to Prevent Freezing

Buffalo Mayor Randy Dyess is suggesting that citizens there turn their faucets on to drip to keep their lines from freezing. He has had reports from local plumbers that have seen the numbers of supply lines from the street into personal residences freeze.
