Officials from Sheridan College announced Friday that they've received a $4 million gift, the largest gift from an individual in the history of the college, from Jacomien and Forrest E. Mars Jr., of Big Horn.
Officials of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Sheridan Association have teamed up to run a complimentary shuttle service for the Big Horn Country USA music festival this weekend in Sheridan.
All the activity in town this week didn't affect the crowds that showed up for the first 3rd Thursday Street Festival in downtown Sheridan. This begins the sixth year for the event which has become a Sheridan tradition.
For the hundreds of people coming to town for the Big Horn Country USA Country Music Festival, finding a place to stay might be a problem. Wildflower Campground was set up for just the occasion and Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott stopped by to bring us the report.
An artist's reception was held Thursday for painter Mark Morel and friends on the mezzanine at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. Morel is a RENEW client, works at Home Depot and loves painting.
