Sunday afternoon, Sheridan became the eleventh stop of a twelve-stop book tour across Wyoming for author Bruce Smith. But sad to say, not one soul showed up at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library for the presentation and book signing of his second book, “Wildlife on the Wind.”
“Wildlife on the Wind,” recounts the successful conservation story of wildlife recovery on the Wind River Reservation where Smith spent four years working with the Indians there.
The 2.2 million acres of the Wind River Reservation is home to the Arapahos and the Shoshones, two tribes that traditionally don't get along.
Smith tells us what was accomplished once the tribes agreed to restrict their treaty rights to hunt year-round.
“Wildlife on the Wind” is on sale at Sheridan Stationary and Books plus a copy is available for check-out at the library.
