As a means to introduce the Sheridan community to an award-winning documentary about Sheridan resident Buck Brannaman while at the same time raising money for a worthy cause, the creators of “Buck” have agreed to show a special screening of the film to viewers this Saturday night, June 4th at the WYO Theatre.

Buck says the money raised will go into a scholarship for Sheridan High School students who take part in the FFA program.

The film's director followed Buck around the country and captured over 2,000 hours of footage, showing Brannaman at various horse clinics and his interactions with family and clients.

It candidly shows Brannaman's tragic upbringing by an abusive father, and the miraculous turn his life took when he and his brother went to live in a foster family when Buck was eleven years old.

The emotional connection – and even lack of one – along with responsibility are the messages at the heart of the film, he says.

For tickets to the special screening, call the WYO Theatre Box Office at (307) 672-9084 or visit http://www.wyotheater.com

The documentary will come out in wide release, including at Sheridan's Centennial Theaters, in a few weeks.
