The 2014 Hoop Jam was hosted in Sheridan on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's games were played outside in Whitney Plaza and Sunday's were hosted indoors at Sheridan High School and Sheridan Junior High due to the threat of rain.

The Sheridan Swish basketball team took first place in the 4th grade division at the Power-to-Play tournament in Casper over the weekend.

The Big Horn Rams football team advanced to the semi-finals after crushing the Lyman Eagles 52-14 Friday afternoon in Big Horn. The Rams jumped out to a 21-0 lead early, before Lyman made things interesting late in the 2nd quarter.

After scoring to make it 21-8, Lyman picked off a Connor McCafferty pass near mid field. The Eagles then drove it deep inside Rams territory before Big Horn's defense stopped Lyman on a 4th and short. Rams Head Coach Michael McGuire talks about the importance of keeping Lyman out of the endzone at the end of the first half.

The Tongue River Eagles football team got their second win of the season Friday in Dayton, as they downed Wright 14-6. All of the scoring came early, as it became a defensive battle following the twenty points put up in the first quarter. Eagles Head Coach John Scott says that the play of the offensive and defensive lines is what allowed them to have success.

The coach says that it was a good win for the six seniors who suited up for their final game in front of the home crowd.

After being postponed a couple of times, the Big Horn Rams football team finally got a chance to hit the gridiron against the Glenrock Herders Monday night. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was in Glenrock for the game, and has this report.
