Sheridan Broncs

Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Broncs notched another win - this one over the Cheyenne South Bison 53 to 38. The game was even after one at 14-14, in the second the Broncs doubled up the Bison 18-9, in the third it was South with 7 and 5 for Sheridan and in the fourth the Broncs again doubled up the Bison 16-8. South's #42 Isaiah Sims led all scorers with 18.

Two bright spots Thursday evening were wins by Bronc Tory Music, seen here, in the 182-pound weight division and Bronc Cody Delk at 195 as the Bronc Wrestlers fell to the Campbell County Camels 52 to 18. Four Bronc Seniors suited up on Senior recognition night but all came up short on the mats on this, the next to last home match, of their High School careers.

Sporting new hairdos Seniors Luke Ostrowski and Jack Syring, swimming in the last home meet of their high school careers on Friday afternoon, were recognized during the meet and performed this dual dive to cap off their home season.

With 6-seconds to go in the Friday evening thriller Cheyenne's Josh Fearing hit a two to break a 57-57 tie and put the Indians up by 2-points, Central 59 to Sheridan's 57. Bronc Coach Gale Smith called a timeout. Then with the clock running down Sheridan Bronc Anthony Newlon hit this three at the buzzer to the delight of the filled to capacity student section.

Friday evening the Sheridan Lady Broncs made it 12 & 1 on the season as they downed the Cheyenne South Lady Bison 74 to 50. The six scorers seen here pumped in 60 of those 74 - Taylor Townsend with 8, Maddy McClure with 10, Alison Geary 6, Mali Wright 6, Robbie Ryan 15 and Hailey Ligocki 15. Next up for the Lady Broncs is a 1:30 Saturday meeting at home against Laramie.

Sheridan Bronc swimmer Luke Ostrowski is headed right at you as he competes in the 200 IM during Friday's swim meet against Laramie and Buffalo. Luke's time of 2:39.49 was good for 3rd Place in the 200 IM and later he also finished 3rd in the 100 breaststroke as well as swimming legs in two relays.

Wednesday evening in the Sue Henry Auditorium Sheridan High School presented the SHS Choir Winter Concert to a standing room only audience in the final concert of the year.
