Sheridan Broncs

In their first competition of the season Thursday morning the SHS Tennis Team hosted Jackson. The Sheridan girls won over the Jackson girls 3 to 2 while the boys lost to Jackson 2 to 3. Katelynn Brooks, shown here, took the #2 Singles from Jackson's Ellie Kucera 6-2, 6-0.

Hailey Ligocki from Sheridan High School shows off the framed jersey designating her as "Miss Basketball Wyoming." Hailey, who will be playing basketball for the Wyoming Cowgirls this fall, was presented the award by Bruce Hoffman following the 2013 Wyoming and Montana Girls All-Stars basketball game held in the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome of Sheridan College Friday evening.

In personal bests Big Horn's Matthew "Wiggs" Wigglesworth and Sheridan's Gabby Edeen captured first place varsity finishes in the Dan Hansen Track Meet held on an ever weather changing Saturday at Homer Scott Stadium in Sheridan.

Off of Lucas Wollenman's third assist of the night teammate Patrick McClurg takes aim and kicks the 5th goal of the evening for the Sheridan Broncs as they stomped all over the Laramie Plainsmen in the second half with five straight goals in the span of 26 minutes. Laramie scored two first half goals in Friday's outing but then it was all Broncs as they downed the number 2 Laramie Plainsmen.

Sheridan's Robbie Ryan, on the right, makes good on this 2nd half kick past four Lady Camel defenders that included goalie Ciara Nice and past a ducking teammate Emily Julian to give the Lady Broncs the only score of the game in their Friday afternoon victory over Campbell County.

Hundreds packed the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall Saturday night to "Beat the Winter Blues." Exact numbers for attendance and fundraising are still being tallied. For the full story, click here.

Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Wrestlers took to their home mat for the last time this season against Cheyenne Central. Sheridan kept it close until the very end but ended up getting out scored 41 to 27. Sheridan won five matches including two by falls.
