Sheridan Broncs

This last Friday April 8th the JV girls soccer team competed against Laramie. The weather was cold with blowing wind and it was sprinkling rain, but that didn't stop the girls from playing hard. They kept Laramie back during the first half almost scoring multiple times. During the second half still tied at zero the Lady Broncs still pushed Laramie back almost scoring again. After 10 min.

On a beautiful Monday afternoon NSI was the place to be for the 2011 NSI Academy Invitational Track Meet.

Eight High School football players from Sheridan County have been selected to the 2011 Shrine Bowl North team rosters. Selected to the North team starting roster are: Michael Klepperich, Wyatt Mirich and Nelson Alzheimer of Big Horn and Kyle Hutchinson, Dawson Osborn and Zach Will from Sheridan.

The Sheridan Broncs jumped on the Campbell County (Gillette) Camels twice in the first 10-minutes Tuesday night and never looked back as they made it three wins in a row. The final score seen here came midway through the 2nd half when Colby Wollenman took control of the ball, punching it past Camel's Brandon Swan and goalie Jordan Rueschoff. This last Saturday April 17th. the Sheridan varsity track team headed to billings to compete against the Montana schools. When the team arrived everybody was ready to go out a run hard. The weather was great staying in the mid 50's all day with little wind and clouds.

Sheridan Bronc Senior Zack Will kicks this ball in for a score at the 3:17 mark of the 2nd overtime period on Thursday night against the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds to put his team up 3 to 2. Cheyenne couldn't respond in the final 3:13 and the Broncs came away with the win over the 4th ranked Thunderbirds.

The 5 and 0 two-time defending state soccer champ Lady Plainsmen came into Friday nights match ranked #2 and took on the #4 ranked Lady Broncs in a Friday night match on Scott Field in Sheridan. On the cold evening the red hot Lady Broncs iced the Lady Plainsmen with three goals in the 2nd half to come away with a 3 - 0 victory.

On a cool, wet Thursday evening the Lady Broncs opened Conference soccer play at home on Scott Field against the Campbell County Camels. The Lady Broncs held the Camels to one goal in the first half thanks in part to defense like that shown here where Sheridan's goalie Jacey Repisis with help from #14 Afton Bateman successfully defended the kick by Gillette's Brittney Lacek.
