Sheridan Broncs

The Wyoming Coaches Association has selected Sheridan Bronc Head Coach Mike Ibach as the East Conference Boys Basketball Coach of the Year. Mike joins Bubba O'Neil, the West Coach of the Year from Evanston, as the two top coaches in the 4A.

Coming off his 2nd Place high jump of 6'0" at the recent State Indoor Track meet' Sheridan Bronc Aaron Campbell is getting in a last practice jump before heading to Casper on Saturday for the Natrona County, Glen Legler Memorial, Earlybird Track Meet. The Sheridan Track and Field team has six away meets before the first home meet - the "Border War" set for 2:00 pm on Tuesday April 17th.

Friday evening at the 18:45 mark of the 1st period Sheridan's Senior Noelle Golinvaux kicks in the first score of the season to put the Lady Broncs up 1 to 0. In the second half Noelle would add another along with teammate Taylor Townsend to defeat the Riverton Lady Wolverines 3 to 1. On Saturday the Lady Broncs travel to Cody for a Soccer Jamboree.

This is Chaney Peterson, Sherda High School Freshman, and Sheridan John B. Kendrick FFA Jr. Officer. Her position is Treasurer. She had begun FFA at the start of August, her freshman year. Chaney along with all other FFA members in the chapter and around the state must memorize the FFA Creed by E.M. Tiffany. Chaney presented the creed by memory and answered question for 5 min.

Sheridan Senior's Riley Ryan, Hunter Reece, Stephany Sessions and Junior Hailey Ligocki were among the twenty-four athletes selected for Wyoming Coaches' Association All-State honors.

The Wyoming Coaches Association has announced the 4A Boys and Girls All-Conference Team Selectees that includes Sheridan's Riley Ryan, Hunter Reece, Stephany Sessions, Hailey Ligocki and Noelle Golinvaux. On the left, below a pair of Gatorade Player of the Year Banners in the Sheridan High School Gym, Sheridan's Stephany Sessions shakes hands with Kaylee Johnson of Natrona County before the January 14th game. Kaylee went on to become Wyoming's Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for 2011-12.

On Saturday night at the State Wrestling Championships in Casper Sheridan's Lucas Giesey took first place in weight class 170. Lucas defeated Riverton's TJ Galey with a major decision 9-1 to end the season with a record of 42 and 8 to become the first Sheridan wrestler to win at state title since Trevor Goss in 2009. The Broncs finished in third place overall with 188 points.
