With less than 8-minutes to go in a windy and hard fought battle Sheridan's Senior Hunter Reece would not be denied as he drove toward the goal and kicked the ball past Buffalo's Junior Neil Medders for the first score of the game. It was not quite enough as Buffalo responded in kind with less than 3-minutes to go in the game. It was tied at one all at the end of 80-minutes.
Sheridan Senior Macey Reid appears to want to go north while Buffalo Freshman Bre Hepp wants to go south, with the ball lodged between them, in the early game of a double header between Sheridan and Buffalo on Scott Field Tuesday. It was the unbeaten, 8 & 0, Lady Broncs taking on the, 3 & 2, Lady Bison.
Recently three Sheridan Bronc wrestlers were among the 29 Wyoming High School wrestlers who competed at the National High School Coaches Association National Championship Tournament in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Each wrestler eyed winning All-American status and four from Wyoming did including Sheridan's 195 lb Sophomore Cody Delk, 16, who came away with a 5th Place All-American status.
The 7 - 0 Sheridan Lady Broncs are now 8 - 0 after Saturday's victory over the visiting Cheyenne Central Lady Indians. Central got on the board first at the 30 minute mark of the 1st period but then at the 25 minute mark of the first half the synchronized pair of Sheridan's Rickie Ryan and Central's Alysha Honacker head toward the ball.
On a beautiful Friday afternoon the Sheridan Lady Broncs notched another win to keep their season perfect at 7-0 overall as they beat the Cheyenne East Lady Thunderbirds 2 to 1 at home on Scott Field. Near the 15 minute mark of the 1st half Freshman Gabby Edeen kicked one past East's goalie Shayne Carter to put the Lady Broncs up 1-0.
In a high noon showdown between the Sheridan Broncs and the Laramie Plainsmen - the team the Broncs beat for the State Championship last spring - the Plainsmen had a great first 25 minutes scoring two goals. After that a "whole lot of Bronc offense" just couldn't score.
Bronc Senior Jake Moore gets the first goal of the evening as the Sheridan Broncs took on the Cheyenne South Bison on Scott Field in Sheridan. It took the Broncs a few minutes - make that 11 - to get warmed up but then they poured it on as they defeated the Bison by a final score of 9 to 0 to keep their shut-out record perfect at 19 goals to 0 in their first 5 outings of the season.
