Sheridan Broncs

Dogs, cats and their human guardians wait under the band shell at Kendrick Park Wednesday afternoon. Veterinarians are available here between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. through Saturday to administer low-cost rabies vaccinations. Rabies cases seem to be on the rise in the Sheridan area this year, with at least three confirmed cases in Sheridan County so far. (Photo by Tracee Davis)

During the recently concluded Wyoming State High School Track and Field Championships in Casper, Sheridan's Aspen Frey and Big Horn's Matthew Wigglesworth came out on top.

Thanks for the memories. This awesome group of young men and their coaches gave their fans a season to remember - we will forever remember your untiring devotion too & love of the game with all it encompasses.

Midway through a scoreless second half Sheridan's Jake Moore takes a high speed pass from Hunter Reece, breaks loose and heads directly toward the goal. As KW's goalie Connor Diller starts to pull in the ball Jake's speed limits his options too; running into the goalie or leaping over him. Jake went for the leap that he cleanly made as shown here. At the end of regulation it was still scoreless.

The Sheridan Broncs needed but one Pass, Kick, Score and Celebration to beat the Laramie Plainsmen on Friday in the semi finals - scroll down to see the whole sequence. Hunter Reece passed to Riley Ryan whose kick got past Laramie's goalie Jonathan Miller and in for the score.

This Sheridan Bronc play had all the ingredients for a score but came up short of that when an official stopped the action. Sheridan's Scott Brown puts the ball in the air in front of the goal where teammate Lucas Wollenman, playing in his extended front yard - directly in front of his home across the way, goes up for a header only to have Riverton's goalie Logan Ridgeway beat him to the ball.

Sheridan Senior Rickie Ryan kicks this ball past Riverton's Maci Evans for the first of five goals by the Lady Broncs who easily out maneuvered the goalless Riverton Lady Wolverines in round one action of the Wyoming State Soccer Championships being held at the Big Horn Equestrian Center in Big Horn on Thursday.
