It was snowy evening outside but inside the Big Horn High School Auditorium Tuesday evening it was a musical delight. The evening started with the Big Horn High School Band directed by Ariel Downing performing such numbers as the Civil War Suite. Then came the Big Horn High School Choir with soloist Christian Klepperich.

The highway into Big Horn is lined with volleyball signs, one for each of the Lady Rams' team members, as they prepare to leave for the Class 2A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Rams will be on Court 2A of the Casper Events Center Thursday at 6:00pm, in first round action, taking on the Lady Bobcats from Thermopolis.

The Big Horn Lady Rams kept the first game against the Lady Panthers from Wright close until Brittany Belt, belted this one over the net and past the block of Lady Rams Jadyn Mirich and Mali Wright to make the score 23 to 19. The Lady Rams then took a time out but could not bounce back as the Lady Panthers took the first game 25-21.

The Big Horn Lady Rams ran the table on Friday going 3 for 3 at noon and then again in the evening as they rolled over their cross-district rivals, the Lady Eagles from Tongue River 25-16, 25-23, and 25-17.

It took just three, but the Big Horn Lady Rams had a battle with the Burns Lady Broncs in the first game coming out on top 28 to 26 and then followed with 25 to 20 and 25 to 17 wins in round one action at Sheridan High School in the 2A East Regional Volleyball Tournament.

It took all five games for the 3rd ranked Big Horn Lady Rams to edge out the Tongue River Lady Eagles in Dayton on Thursday evening in cross-district volleyball action. After splitting the first two games (TR 25-17 & BH 25-15) TR came out on top in the third 26 to 24. But then Big Horn turned it up a notch and took the last two 25-20 and 15-11.

On Friday in game three against the Moorcroft Lady Wolves, Lady Ram Mali Wright between teammates #12 Brittany Popp, #13 Kori Puckett, #2 Alex Blare, #14 Jaydn Mirich and #22 Gracie Goldhammer (out of view), hammers the ball past would be block defenders Catherine Clonch and #12 Morghan West to win the game.
