Dining for a Cause raised $11,855.43 for the proposed aquatics center at the Sheridan YMCA. An additional $45,000 was matched from Hammer Chevrolet, Malone Belton Abel P.C., and Buggy Bath Car Wash for a total of $56,855.43

On April 19th, local board members of the Wyoming Community Foundation - Sheridan Johnson (WYCF-SJ) delivered grant checks to area non-profit organizations. Organizations receiving funds were: Sheridan Arts Council, Marion Daycare, VOA Homeless Shelter, Sheridan Country Fulmer Public Library, Sage Arts Center, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and the Sheridan YMCA.

Cars and trucks, and even motorcycles, from all different walks of life met at the Trails End Motel on Saturday for a car show.

Organizers hope to make the meet up a regular event throughout the car show season!

The Story Community Fund is an affiliate of the Wyoming Community Foundation and was founded November 2011 to be a charitable fund for local 501-c-3 organizations. Last fall the Story Centennial Park Board applied for a $2,000 Grant to help with expenses at the Story Park. The Park has seen increased usage over the years.

The Sheridan Broncs soccer team needed overtime to win their match 3-2 against Laramie Saturday. The Broncs won a pair over the weekend beating Cheyenne South 7-0 Friday night. Full recap of the action during Monday morning sports with Trevor Jackson.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and to help bring awareness to child abuse and child neglect, Sheridan County Public Health and community partners planted thousands of pinwheels on the lawn of the Sheridan County Courthouse Friday. Communities throughout Wyoming and nationwide are taking part in the The Pinwheel Garden Project as a means to help support child abuse prevention efforts.
