Time is running out if you haven't seen the Bodypaint: Old Tradition - New Visions by local photographer Harold 'Mike' Roberts that is on display through May 9th in the Martinsen Gallery on the Sheridan College Campus. Since their first collaboration in December of 2008 Mike has been photographing the bodypainting work of Dawn DeWitt of Dawn DeWitt Studios in Buffalo, WY.

Sheridan's fourth and fifth grade students made a commitment to be in the Elementary Choir program for the entire school year and it paid big dividends Thursday evening at the Early Auditorium.

On Tuesday the Sheridan County Commissioners took ownership of the Old Arvada Elementary School in order to facilitate the transfer of the school to the Powder River Community Center Board. Sheridan Fire-Rescue conducted roof ventilation training at the former Big Horn Motors building at 5th and Main Streets Tuesday. Firefighters have been conducting various training evolutions since last week, including interior victim searches, firefighter self-rescue, and wall breeches. The training was made possible by building owner Dave Sorensen.

On a beautiful Monday afternoon NSI was the place to be for the 2011 NSI Academy Invitational Track Meet.

Groathouse Construction is well underway on Fort Street in Buffalo with the new Johnson County Justice Center. Depending on possible change orders the building completion date may move to May 2012. For more on Tuesday's Jo Co Comm Agenda see:

April's last morning bus trip to Woodland Park Elementary School was under wintery weather conditions of snow, blowing snow and reduced visibility. Area residents can expect snow showers changing to rain showers through the rest of Friday followed by more rain and snow showers through the weekend with the sun returning on Monday. Friday evening on the SHS stage Aaron Odom, the Sheridan High School Drama Club sponsor, introduced the comedic duet play by Tom Dudzick titled "Greetings!" in which Randy, played by Sophomore Abby Bacon and Andy, played by Senior Rusty Burr are flying to Andy's home for Christmas to meet his parents and tell them of his engagement to Rusty. Mid-way en route is this inflight kiss.
