These pictures were taken on 2/26/2011 of the elk in the park. My dad, Chris Ehnis, happened to see the elk with the ball stuck on his horns and asked me to come up and bring my camera. The elk was casually laying in the snow...the ball didn't seem to bother him.

At the Big Horn Junction just a day ago this sign read 2.99 and now on Friday it reads 3.09. At the major stations in Sheridan things are somewhat better with the price of unleaded rising but still below $3.00 at 2.99. Sure wish the weather would warm up so I could walk or ride a bike.

Sheridan's Main Street is now closed from 5th Street to 8th Street - the Detour sign when going north directs traffic toward Broadway. The 8th and Main Street intersection is open while the 7th and 6th Street intersections with Main Street are closed. Note: From 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd until 7:00 a.m.

A frosted window pane makes an interesting, artistic and textured, view of two whitetail deer as they look back from the far side. On cold winter days it's nice to stay warm inside and still appreciate the beauty of our Sheridan area.
