This last Friday April 8th the JV girls soccer team competed against Laramie. The weather was cold with blowing wind and it spiting rain but that didn't stop the girls from playing hard. They kept Laramie back during the first half almost scoring multiple times. During the second half still tied at zero the Lady Broncs still pushed Laramie back almost scoring again. But after 10 min.

This last Friday April 8th, Sheridan High School hosted a assembly for the 4th Grade classes in their auditorium. The Assembly was to help further there knowledge on the Wild West. The Speaker did this with humor and song playing the guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. The 4th graders loved it as they sang and clapped along to a lot of the songs while learning about the west.

Following the grand march Saturday evening at Sheridan High School the Prom Royalty for the 2011 "SHS Prom Masquerade!" was announced with - Kayla Woodward and Cole Gustafson being crowned Queen and King respectively. The 5 and 0 two-time defending state soccer champ Lady Plainsmen came into Friday nights match ranked #2 and took on the #4 ranked Lady Broncs in a Friday night match on Scott Field in Sheridan. On the cold evening the red hot Lady Broncs iced the Lady Plainsmen with three goals in the 2nd half to come away with a 3 - 0 victory.

Friday morning, high school golfers opened play at the Kendrick Golf Course in Sheridan for the Tongue River/Big Horn Invite. The weather was iffy and chilly but the rain held off for the most part and play got underway at 10:00 am. Scroll down to see some of the local golfers in action:

One reason why school buses in Wyoming are required by law to operate with their headlights on is so that they can be seen - it also helps if motorists have good working windshield wiper blades and turn them on especially on days like Tuesday afternoon when the rain was coming down.
