In recognition of the 10-year anniversary of the tragedy on September 11, 2001, Sheridan Media will be working with Cost Plus Furniture and Appliances of Sheridan to put on a 24-hour, three-day "Spirit of America 9/11 Food Drive" with a goal of collecting 911 pounds of non-perishable food items.

Sheridan Media's Ben Chalker tells us more.

Hang gliders and even a parasailer or two gathered at Sand Turn on the Big Horn Mountains all Labor Day weekend, entertaining small crowds as they flew off toward Dayton, Ranchester and Parkman.

During the best flights gliders reached heights of up to approximately 13,000 feet, said glider Jim Bowman of Parkman.

This dragonfly was hanging around in my front yard just dying to have his picture taken.

This pup trailer filled with oil took the corner at East Ridge Road and KROE Lane a little too tight Friday afternoon. The tanker did not rupture and there were no injuries involved in the accident.

Ryan King, representing King's Saddlery, won The 3rd Annual "Blue Ribbon Cook-off" at the 3rd Thursday Street Festival. He won $500 for his steak. His strategy? Keep it simple - sear both sides and lots of salt and pepper.
