All "slickered" up Eatons' Cowboys trail 100+ horses in the rain down 5th Street and into Sheridan on the annual horse drive from winter pasture, through Sheridan and on to the ranch at Wolf Creek, Wyoming. Our hats go off to the Sheridan High School Class of 2011 - as did theirs at 2:22 pm on Sunday at the conclusion of graduation ceremonies inside the main gym. The program started at 1:00 pm with the Processional "Fanfare and Processional" by the 9-11 Grade Band, followed by the "Star Spangled Banner" which was sung by Spectrum and then the welcome address by Principal Dirlene Wheeler.

At 9:48 am Sunday morning and close to schedule the annual Eatons' Horse Drive of over 100 horses passed under Interstate 90 and past the "City of Sheridan - Entrance to Historic District" sign as they headed down East 5th Street into Sheridan. In 1904 the Eaton brothers moved from North Dakota to the present ranch location on Wolf Creek west of Sheridan.

After the rains of the past week blue skies returned Thursday afternoon to reveal the beauty of Sheridan and the vibrant pink blossoms of May at 352 W. Loucks. If you drive by it'll turn you into a "rubbernecker" so you might want to walk by and enjoy both the view and the aroma of the blossoms.

The 2011 All-State Honors are out and Sheridan County has four outstanding track athletes: Wyatt Mirich from Big Horn, Taylor Heaps and Hunter Vineyard from Tongue River and Taylor Kraft from Sheridan.
