Music was in abundance all day Wednesday at Sheridan High School for the District Music Festival that was open to the public. There was even music in the Wrestling Room. A special treat the evening before featured the: Beginning Band, 3rd and 4th Period Percussion Class and the Symphonic Band on stage that was also open to the public.

Sheridan's Junior Michael Rotellini won big for Sheridan at the inaugural running of the "Gary Benson" Memorial Border War track meet on Tuesday afternoon at Homer Scott stadium. Michael took 1st in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:03.10 and followed that up with a 1st in the 1600 with a time of 4:35.28.

Last Thursday, April 12th, in a phone call to Mayor Kinskey during the Public Pulse radio program hosted by Sheridan Media's Kim Love a listener asked, "When are they going to re-start the Wyoming Avenue project?" The mayor indicated that the bidding paperwork had been finished and that once the frost is out of the ground the finishing touches to Phase One of the Wyoming/Park Streets improvement

A special meeting of the Sheridan County School District No. 2 board of trustees will be held on Wednesday, April 18th at 11:45 am in the District Central Office. The purpose of the meeting is to award bid recommendations for the furnishings and equipment for the new Meadowlark Elementary School. The building is progressing nicely and is scheduled to be complete by August.

Strong Man Truck Pull Test Run at PURENERGY Fitness.

Friday afternoon, Jake Benth, of Sheridan, pulls a 16,600 lb delivery truck approximately 65 feet, using ONLY his own muscles. The pull was a test run for the Wyoming State Strong Man competition that will be held this summer. The pull took place on the street beside PURENERGY Fitness, owned by Nolan and Caryn Moxey.

After two hours of grueling racing Braden West from Sheridan's Cub Scout Pack 385 came out on top and took home the Elakawee District Pinewood Derby "Grand Champion" trophy at the races held Saturday morning at Hammer Chevrolet.
