Spectators take in the Annular Solar Eclipse Sunday evening at Sheridan College. The college provided eyeglasses and a telescope to make the eclipse viewable. Sheridan College plans to host another solar event viewing June 5, when Venus will pass in front of sun. (Photo by Tracee Davis)

We tip our hats to the talent of the team and coaches who excelled before us in their journey on a field of dreams this season. Long live your memories.

You made memories that will last forever in our hearts and minds this past season - you are indeed a superb group of young ladies and coaches. Thank you.

Thanks for the memories. This awesome group of young men and their coaches gave their fans a season to remember - we will forever remember your untiring devotion too & love of the game with all it encompasses.

It was a bright and sunny day Saturday for the annual Trees for Trash event in Sheridan.

The Buffalo Lady Bison got the first goal in their game against the Cody Fillies in the Championship game on Saturday. Buffalo's Teara Gass kicks the ball over the head of Cody's goalie Laurel Place where Lady Bison's Caley Stafford and Rileigh Olson meet up with the ball that Rileigh kicks in with her left foot. Scroll down to see the whole sequence.

The Lady Broncs already knew that a soccer field is huge - today they found out a win on that huge field can come from just a few inches. Somewhere in this play near the goal a hand touches the ball setting up a penalty kick.

Midway through a scoreless second half Sheridan's Jake Moore takes a high speed pass from Hunter Reece, breaks loose and heads directly toward the goal. As KW's goalie Connor Diller starts to pull in the ball Jake's speed limits his options too; running into the goalie or leaping over him. Jake went for the leap that he cleanly made as shown here. At the end of regulation it was still scoreless.
