Around 2:00 pm Wednesday this Chevrolet Cavalier apparently tangled with a cement truck and ended up upside down on the west side of Coffeen Avenue near the 5100 block. Two Rocky Mountain Ambulances were on the scene and at least one person was seen being loaded into one of the ambulances. Also responding to the accident were the highway patrol and unit 205 from the Sheridan Rural Fire Department.
If you're headed out to see the exhibits at the Bradford Brinton Memorial & Museum make sure you take the lower road (Brinton Road CR103) as you approach Big Horn if you want to see the poppies at the Historic Gallatin Ranch. The Gallatin Ranch is at 221 Brinton Road and close to the Bradford Brinton but you'll miss it if you stay on Highway 335 when you approach Big Horn.
On Tuesday afternoon the arch at Sheridan College was seen coming down but the golden dome still stands in the background. We're not talking McDonald's golden arches here but we are talking about the main entry way into Sheridan College which is now temporarily closed and will remain closed for a week or more.
On Monday afternoon O'Dell Construction Inc. of Sheridan was putting the outside finishing touches on the 3rd floor addition to the Sheridan County Court House making room for an additional judge for the 4th Judicial District. Tuesday morning the carpeting was being laid inside and Shawn O'Dell indicated that the entire project will be finished by the start of the new fiscal year - July 1st.
In 1911 John B. Kendrick purchased the K Ranch acreage on which he had Sheridan's Oscar Husman family build the Kendrick Circle K Ranch house and adjacent buildings in 1925. The Circle K Ranch house area was the highlight of Saturday's Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) tour of east Sheridan County.
