Kent and Avis Lundine of Casper with their 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door hard top took home the coveted "Best of Show" at the 2012 KARZ Rod Run held on Main Street on Saturday. The 126 entries were narrowed to but one and Kent and Avis were presented the - one of a kind - award (made by Adler Welding of Sheridan) during the banquet held at the Kalif Shrine Auditorium Saturday evening.

Former Mayor Jim Wilson is about 7 miles into the 10-mile round trip between South Park to North Park and back to South Park on Saturday morning. He was seen zooming down Alger Avenue on the return trip aboard his Western Flyer. You could run, bike, walk or stroll on today's outing and dogs were welcome.

The 2012 KARZ Rod Run is headed your way. Registration is from 3:00-7:00 pm Friday in Kendrick Park and 8:00-10:00 am Saturday on Grinnell Plaza with the Car Show & Swap Meet following on Main Street in Sheridan south of Dow Street to Loucks from from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Demolition work on the McDonald's at North Main in Sheridan got underway this week. A building similar to the McDonald's on Coffeen and Brundage Lane will be constructed at the North Main location.
