Surrounded by yarrow and junipers, this deer stopped eating foliage long enough to pose under a blue Wyoming Sky on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon.

The Sheridan Babe Ruth 14 year old team traveled to Worland July 18-21 to compete in the Wyoming State Babe Ruth 14 year old tournament. The talented Sheridan team ran through the competition with three wins in three consecutive days over Powell (16-5), Evanston (14-3) and Gillette (13-0).

Mid afternoon Bull Moose Camping with us @ East Fork Campground in the Big Horn National Forest all weekend! Wasn’t worried that anyone was there.

Local author Craig Johnson, whose book series on Sheriff Walt Longmire has been adapted to a television series on A&E, was in Buffalo Saturday to help celebrate "Longmire Day." Johnson met the public, signed books and merchandise and visited with everyone who cared to stop by the Busy Bee and chat.

Buffalo's second annual Art Chalk Festival was this past Saturday. Forty-five artists of all ages participated in creating artworks on Buffalo's downtown Main Street sidewalks and nearby parking lots. Marie Verger, with the Buffalo Downtown Association, said although rain did wash away some of the art, most were saved, touched up and will be on display as long as they last.
