The Buffalo Bison sure could have used this call going the other way - instead the official ruled that the ball did not cross the goal line early in the game which Buffalo ended up losing to the Jackson Hole Broncs by a score of 2 to 0. As a result the Bison drop into a game against Lander Valley for third place on Saturday at 11:00 am on Field #2.

One minute into the semi final game on Friday Lady Bronc goalie Bailey McLean somehow gets a "yellow" card during her play in the two left frames, in the center Nicci Kassen gets fast instructions on being a goalie and a hug for good luck. Then on the right Campbell County's Brittney Lacek sends the penalty kick wide right of the goal.

Early in the game on Friday Lady Bison Caley Stafford kicks a ball that Jackson Hole's goalie Faith Hamlin mishandles allowing Lady Bison Olivia Spanos to propel the ball just to the left of goal. That practice run perhaps in part spurred the Lady Bison on to their 3 to 0 victory over the Jackson Hole Lady Broncs in the semi final game.

This Sheridan Bronc play had all the ingredients for a score but came up short of that when an official stopped the action. Sheridan's Scott Brown puts the ball in the air in front of the goal where teammate Lucas Wollenman, playing in his extended front yard - directly in front of his home across the way, goes up for a header only to have Riverton's goalie Logan Ridgeway beat him to the ball.

This near score by Buffalo's Collin Rodriguez off a pass from Cam Spade shows the high level of intensity in the 3A State Soccer Championship action from Thursday as the Buffalo Bison pulled out a 3 to 2 win over the Cody Broncs. Next up for the Bison is semi final action against the Jackson Hole Broncs on Field #2 at 4:00 pm Friday.

Buffalo's Kaitlynn Armstrong has the right idea in the early going of their game against the Torrington Lady Trailblazers in round one action at the State Soccer Championships but her kick goes high and over the head of Torrington goalie Mikayla Brower. The Lady Bison would later capitalize on two goals to the Lady Trailblazers one to advance to the semi finals on Friday.

Sheridan Senior Rickie Ryan kicks this ball past Riverton's Maci Evans for the first of five goals by the Lady Broncs who easily out maneuvered the goalless Riverton Lady Wolverines in round one action of the Wyoming State Soccer Championships being held at the Big Horn Equestrian Center in Big Horn on Thursday.

This big bumble bee was more than eager to pose for the camera.
