After six or so inches of snow over the weekend covered the ground of the Elk Pasture at Kendrick Park the resident buffalo were perhaps glad for the Monday afternoon arrival of "Meals on Wheels." The buffalo were on the far ridge when the city "Meals on Wheels" truck entered the pasture and wasted little time heading for the food that was being spread from the truck as it circled the pasture.

The U.S. Postal Service announced new prices and services in its Release No. 12-114 on October 11, 2012 for rates effective on January 27, 2013. Residents of the Sheridan area may not be aware of the new prices. Perhaps because many use First-Class Mail Forever Stamps there is not much need for publicity of the rate increases that take effect Sunday.

With 6-seconds to go in the Friday evening thriller Cheyenne's Josh Fearing hit a two to break a 57-57 tie and put the Indians up by 2-points, Central 59 to Sheridan's 57. Bronc Coach Gale Smith called a timeout. Then with the clock running down Sheridan Bronc Anthony Newlon hit this three at the buzzer to the delight of the filled to capacity student section.

Tied no longer at 6-1 are the Sheridan Generals and Casper Thunderbirds. The Generals cooled off the hot Thunderbirds Wednesday evening with top notch shooting - 28-points from Frederic Dure, 22 from Victor Bermudez and 13 from Ron Mvouika. Tate Stensgaard had 6-points before going down hard in the second half - leaving the game with a bum right arm.
