Sheridan Bronc swimmer Luke Ostrowski is headed right at you as he competes in the 200 IM during Friday's swim meet against Laramie and Buffalo. Luke's time of 2:39.49 was good for 3rd Place in the 200 IM and later he also finished 3rd in the 100 breaststroke as well as swimming legs in two relays.

On Saturday in the Story/Big Horn area the Christmas bird count will be taking place. I wonder if this Bohemian Waxwing will be included. Last year's Wyoming/Utah count of Bohemian Waxwings was down with only 12 counted on 3-counts in Utah and 1329 counted on 5-counts in Wyoming. For more see: http://birds.audubon.org/sites/d...

The last Full Moon of 2012 gave the Sheridan area a brief glimpse as it rose at 4:30 pm Thursday and then disappeared. Perhaps if the cloud cover permits it will reappear later in the evening. The last full moon of 2012 actually occurs at 3:21 am (our time) Friday morning - when the moon is exactly opposite the sun but it will look full for a couple of days on either side of that time.

Terry Richards, Oglala Lakota, and Bob Wilson, retired Fort Phil Kearny Superintendent, stand near the Bozeman Trail just north of the Fetterman Monument on Friday as they wait for tour members to gather for Part II of the annual December 21st tour. Terry and Bob each described the battle and heroic moments from each side of the engagement as the group walked along Massacre Hill.

How many can say they've "Strolled All 17 Years?" At least one resident of Sheridan can claim the honor of Strolling all 17 as witnessed by the decorative Christmas display hanging in her house that shows all of the Stroll Buttons - 1996 to 2012.
