The 69th annual Wyoming Women's State Bowling Tournament kicked off Saturday at Cloud Peak Lanes in Sheridan. State Senator Dave Kinskey, Sheridan Mayor John Heath and local bowler Loi Brewer threw out the ceremonial first balls of the tournament Saturday morning. The tournament will continue every weekend through May 10.

The Dog & Cat Shelter thanks SCSD #2, Meadowlark Elementary 3rd grade classes! These wonderful kids came to the shelter and helped paint, make cat toys, and decorated wall borders.

Members of the Wyoming Community Foundation, the Sheridan-Johnson Community Foundation, Frackelton's, and Sheridan Media, presented a "big "check" in the amount of $9,886 to representatives with the Sheridan Health Center. The money was raised March 23 during the "Dining for a Cause" event at Frackelton's Restaurant in downtown Sheridan.
