On their first play from scrimmage, after having stopped the Camels on their first drive, Bronc Senior Kameron Eckard hit Senior Daniel Sessions with a short pass that Daniel ran 67-yards into the end zone for the first score in the 35th Energy Bowl on Saturday in Gillette. The extra point kick by Bronc Nick Gill was good to make the score 7 - 0 just a minute and a half into the game.
With just seconds to go in the first half Bronc Senior Nick Gill pounds his way through a quartet of Tigers to just get into the corner of the end zone to put his Broncs up 18 to 0. Nick also kicked the extra point to make it Sheridan 19 - Rock Springs 0. Both teams were scoreless in the second half as Sheridan now stands at 5 & 0 while Rock Springs sinks to 0 & 5.
Early in the 2nd quarter Big Horn Ram Colter Carzoli took the hand off from QB Connor McCaferty at the six and punched it in for the score as he made a final cut to his left into a hole at the goal line thanks to the block by fellow Ram Mason Lube #58. Colter's TD ran the score to 20 to 7.
Rain couldn't dampen the Sheridan High School Homecoming Pep Rally spirit on Grinnell Plaza Thursday evening. After recognizing the athletics of the fall sports teams it was time to burn the "Bronc" and that they did right in the middle of Grinnell Plaza. After that some dancing broke out in front of the stage as the students continued in the spirit of homecoming.
The #3 doubles team of Braxton Cooper and Robert Meixsell racked up a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 win over Cody's Angeb Prosceno and Zach Ross Saturday morning as the Sheridan Broncs took 4 out of 5 matches. The Lady Broncs fell to Cody winning just two of the five matches.
On Friday afternoon Senior Bronc Reed Ritterbusch in #1 Singles beat Powell's Cody Akin as he led the Broncs to a 5 - 0 sweep of Powell in tennis action. The Lady Broncs lost 3 to 2. Sheridan will host matches with Cody starting at 9:00 am Saturday on the courts at Sheridan High School.
