On Fordyce Field @ the Polo H Club for the 1:00 pm match on Thursday, Gillian Johnston, wearing the number 1 for the Bendabout team, breaks away from the field and hits this shot to score goal #4 for her team late in the 5th chukker. In the end the Bendabout team couldn't overcome the 2-goal handicap of the Little Owl team as the final score was 8 to 4.

The results are in and 34 year old Trevor Brazile of Decatur, Texas is the Sheridan WYO Rodeo All-round cowboy for 2011 with a purse of $5, 873 for his arena work in team roping, tie-down roping and steer roping. Trevor made history on December 3rd, 2010 by winning his 8th All-Around World Title at the Wrangler National Final Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For the second year in a row the 2011 World Championship Indian Relay Race goes to Luke Rock of the Rock Relay Team from Hardin Montana.

Always a crowd favorite, the World Championship Indian Relay Races are held at the beginning of each performance at the Sheridan WYO Rodeo.

Gillette cowboy Kyle Callaway showed the nine other competitors how to steer wrestle Thursday night and they had better not have blinked or they would have missed his clinic for it only took him only 3.99 seconds. With the mud a flying from the recent downpour some of the Sankey Rodeo Company rodeo stock was paraded around the arena in the sinking sunlight prior to the start of the First PRCA Rodeo Performance of the 81st Sheridan WYO Rodeo on Wednesday evening making for a great photo opportunity. Brock Bomar from Sheridan will be one of five athletes and the only runner from Wyoming who will be attending the North American Final in Hershey, PA in August. Brock is shown here with the first place ribbons he won at the Wyoming State Meet in the 50 and 200 meter dash. At the Hershey National meet Brock will be competing in the 9-10 age group of the 200 meter dash on August 6th.
