In past years Devan Reilly was putting on a Sheridan Bronc football uniform in August but this year he's riding a bronc. And ride the bareback bronc he did for a score of 62 in the first event of the 2011 Sheridan County Rodeo that started Friday evening. Devin will be riding again Saturday evening at 7:00 pm but there is also rodeo action at 1:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

After an evening of pig wrestling the Tarver Construction team of: Michelle Larson, Jen Tarver, Haley Clark and Jennifer Reed pose on their way to the showers. H&H Masonry bid $150 on the Tarver team but failed to take any money home as the gals had a good time en route to their NT (no time).

Saturday was a beautiful day for golf as 29 teams hit the links at the Powder Horn for the Annual SHS Booster Club tourney while 9-miles to the north 21 teams teed off in the Holy Name School Golf Tournament. The youth rodeo is all about family and fun, and the support of the county's youth. There was something for all ages to compete in, from dummy roping, to barrels, poles, steer riding, and roping.

In addition to being the Highest Scoring Dog at the 2011 Dog Show with a score of 175 and qualify for State Competition Betty Ann Jerney's "Shilo" earned Rosettes and Plaques for "Champion On A Leash (A) Dog" and "Junior Veteran - Novice in Rally". To see the winners and more scroll down.

Five-year old Caleb Kilbride, from Dayton, gets in a little "Mechanical Bull Riding" time on Friday afternoon at the the Sheridan County Fair Grounds. On Saturday from 10am-6pm is the last opportunity to ride the bull with the Championship Event, sponsored by Trubuilt Builders, scheduled to start at 1pm.

There were 13 teams registered and over 60 participants in the 3rd annual Dayton Days Volleyball Tournament. It was a hot & brutal day, but these players toughed it out.
