Just 43-seconds into the first round playoff game against Rock Springs, Sheridan Bronc Jordan Roberts on this run not only broke the school record for touchdowns but went over 2000 yards on the season. Roberts 27th TD on the season eclipsed the record of 26 held for many years by Bronc #42 Homer (Scotty) Scott. The Broncs went on to rout the Tigers by a final of 42 to 12.
The Sheridan Lady Bronc Swimmers and Divers are headed to the Aquatic Center in Gillette for the 2011 Girls' State Swimming & Diving Meet. Warm-ups start at 1:00 pm Friday with the 4A Diving Prelims set for 3:00 pm followed by the Swimming Prelims - 30-minutes after the Diving concludes. Then at 10:00 am Saturday it will be time for the 4A Swimming & Diving Finals. Good Luck Lady Broncs!
The 4A East Regional Champion Sheridan Lady Broncs are again packing their bags for a trip south - this time not as far as Cheyenne as their destination is the Casper Events Center for the Class 4A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament. Sheridan took on Riverton on Court 4A at 3:00 pm Thursday. Then Sheridan took on Campbell County on Friday at 4:30 pm.
The highway into Big Horn is lined with volleyball signs, one for each of the Lady Rams' team members, as they prepare to leave for the Class 2A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Rams will be on Court 2A of the Casper Events Center Thursday at 6:00pm, in first round action, taking on the Lady Bobcats from Thermopolis.
The Lady Panthers from Arvada-Clearmont are headed to the Casper Events Center for the Class 1A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament where they will see first round action against Burlington at 7:30pm Thursday, October 27th. The Lady Panthers earned the trip to state by finishing 4th in last weekend's regional tournament in Torrington.
The Big Horn Lady Rams kept the first game against the Lady Panthers from Wright close until Brittany Belt, belted this one over the net and past the block of Lady Rams Jadyn Mirich and Mali Wright to make the score 23 to 19. The Lady Rams then took a time out but could not bounce back as the Lady Panthers took the first game 25-21.
The Big Horn Lady Rams ran the table on Friday going 3 for 3 at noon and then again in the evening as they rolled over their cross-district rivals, the Lady Eagles from Tongue River 25-16, 25-23, and 25-17.
It took just three, but the Big Horn Lady Rams had a battle with the Burns Lady Broncs in the first game coming out on top 28 to 26 and then followed with 25 to 20 and 25 to 17 wins in round one action at Sheridan High School in the 2A East Regional Volleyball Tournament.
