On the left, below a pair of Gatorade Player of the Year Banners in the Sheridan High School Gym, Sheridan's Stephany Sessions shakes hands with Kaylee Johnson of Natrona County before the January 14th game. Kaylee went on to become Wyoming's Gatorade Girls Basketball Player of the Year for 2011-12.

The Wyoming Coaches Association has announced the Girls and Boys 2A Basketball Conference Teams and All-State Selections. On the All-State lists were Stephen Yellowtail, Sarah Nielson & Sarah Rawlings from Tongue River and Erica O'Dell from Big Horn.

On Saturday night at the State Wrestling Championships in Casper Sheridan's Lucas Giesey took first place in weight class 170. Lucas defeated Riverton's TJ Galey with a major decision 9-1 to end the season with a record of 42 and 8 to become the first Sheridan wrestler to win at state title since Trevor Goss in 2009. The Broncs finished in third place overall with 188 points.

It took overtime for the #3 ranked Sheridan Broncs to topple the #2 ranked Campbell County Camels 57 to 56 in Sheridan on Friday night to capture the conference title. Riley Ryan shown here hitting his third three in a row - in front of the standing room only student section who show their approval - to start the game led all scorers with 24 points on the evening.

Sheridan High School senior Jordan Roberts displayed the Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year banner during an awards recognition ceremony last Saturday at halftime of the the Sheridan and Cheyenne Central basketball game. Jordan, shown here with Sheridan's Head Football Coach Don Julian, became the fifth Wyoming Football Player to receive the award.

With Seniors Riley Ryan, Taylor Kraft and Jordan Roberts holding and other members of the 2011 Wyoming State 4A Football Championship Team surrounding them the coveted championship football banner is proudly displayed for the first time. It was during halftime of Saturday's basketball game that the banner was presented to the team.

In this photo sequence Sheridan Bronc Senior Hunter Reece goes airborne over Cheyenne Central's Deondre Davis - lands and then shoots for two of his four points on the day. The Broncs led Saturday's game 7 to 3 after one, 15 to 9 at the half, 24 to 21 after three but came up short in the last minute of play to finish 35 to 36.

On their last home game of the season the Lady Broncs stomped all over the Lady Bison from Cheyenne South. At the end of the first quarter is was "all" Lady Broncs 21 to 0. At the half it was 34 to 8, 43 to 18 at the three-quarter mark and at the finale it was 56 to 22. Hailey Ligocki led all scorers with 18 followed by Noelle Golinvaux with 13 and Taylor Townsend with 11.
