Students & faculty of the Big Horn School Campus and the Big Horn Volunteer Fire Department gathered to mark Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance Tuesday morning.

Sheridan Fire-Rescue, Sheridan Police Department, and Rocky Mountain Ambulance responded to a vehicle fire in the 2400 block of North Main at 7:15 pm on Thursday. The fire involved a 2000 Dodge 1500 4x4. The engine compartment of the pickup was fully involved in fire on arrival. Fire also damaged the interior or the vehicle. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

As part of the recent Big Horn School Campus renovation a new bell tower was constructed. This tower now houses two historic bells. Information from Judy Slack, manager of the Wyoming Room of the Sheridan Fulmer Public LIbrary, indicates that the smaller bell on the right - The Wyoming Collegiate Institute Bell - was used from 1892 - 1930.

In rodeo terminology T.J. McCauley is headed for "home" after having rounded the third barrel to finish Senior Barrel Racing with a time of 18.688. However before the day was over T.J. would head "home" to Redmond Oregon with a 2012 Ford Truck, thanks to Fremont Motor Sheridan, while pulling a three horse slant load goose neck Jackson trailer, thanks to Prime Rate Motors.

At the Sheridan County Rodeo Award's Ceremony and Supper Saturday evening Shelby Mann and Mike Collins took home saddles for winning the All-Around Cowgirl and Cowboy Titles for 2012. Shelby finished with 270 points to become the All-Around Women's Champion while Tamara Mann finished in the runner-up position with 250 points.
