A revisit to the popular Linden Hill sledding area reveals the addition of hay bales along the fence at the bottom of the hill. With warmer weather and the weekend approaching sledders that take to the hill will now have a safety barrier along the fence when they reach the bottom of the hill.

Once again the City of Sheridan has announced that an emergency snow route alert has been issued that will go into effect Wednesday at 1am.

In addition to working on 20-miles of street repair over the next two to five years perhaps the City of Sheridan could work with WYDOT and finally get street signs posted on perhaps what is the only intersection in the city without signs. How about Sugar Lane and Coffeen Avenue as sign names to act as visual aids and thus help visitors to our area?

About forty participated in an interactive presentation regarding the Sheridan landscape Wednesday evening in the Watt's Center at Sheridan College. Participant responses will help guide in the development of policy and strategy for the preservation and enhancement of the scenic views, especially into and out of the main corridors of Sheridan.

Tuesday afternoon the 2011 High School Blood Drive Challenge was well underway at the old Woodland Park Elementary School (current location of the Sheridan Recreation Community Center) when Mike Morton from Big Horn arrived.

Tuesday marked the official opening of the $69,000 City of Sheridan Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility with Sheridan's Mayor Kinskey "cutting the ribbon." In the Tuesday afternoon shadows cast by Big Horn's Elementary School the new school is beginning to take shape as concrete is pumped into the forms of its foundation. Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees voted to approve $8,393,145 for the project during an October 2010 meeting and if all goes well a Christmas 2011 move into the new facility may be possible.
