Using $80 of "seed" money Dan Miller, Industrial Technology Instructor, at Sheridan High School purchased birdhouse building materials, conducted safety classes and his students roughed out 30-birdhouses.

The curtains may have closed but the memories of the magnificent performance by the cast and crew of "Peter Pan" will linger - no doubt until the next Marva Craft, spectacular. Over 2500 viewed the 5-sell out performances before the curtains closed at 5:00 p.m. Sunday.

Peter Pan's mask is ripped away by pirates led by Captain Hook in this scene of the "Peter Pan" musical that will open in the Sue Henry Auditorium at Sheridan High School at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The cast of 50 will also sing, dance and fly across the stage in performances on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Sheridan has been voted into the top 12 of the 2011 Distinctive Destinations by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. On Friday Sheridanites and historical characters gathered in the Historic Sheridan Inn for a "Sheridan Area Tourism Celebration" where food, singing, displays, historic characters, tours and spoken words were plentiful.

Kassi hit a home run with their "historic eatable art" - the Sheridan Area Tourism Celebration cake - at the Historic Sheridan Inn on Friday. Many Sheridanites and historical characters from the past gathered for a tourism celebration and the presentation of the Dozen Distinctive Destinations award that recognizes Sheridan, Wyoming as one of America's 2011 destinations.

Under blue Wyoming skies the City of Sheridan Street Department was out in force Wednesday morning as a tandem team of "street washers" gave a clean sweep to Coffeen Avenue. The second truck is seen here crossing the Avoca Street/Sugarland Drive intersection heading south. Enjoy the good weather as the high Thursday will be in the 30's with a chance of snow.

The Sheridan College Chamber Choir performed in both Chambers of the Wyoming Legislature last Friday. Pictured, the students are on the floor of the Wyoming House of Representatives. The twelve singers are Sheridan College students from Wyoming and Montana.
