A year and a half ago a Freshman Taylor Nance, seen here, was playing in the Big Horn/Tongue River Golf Invite and now Taylor is the Wyoming 2A State Champion - what a difference a year makes. Saturday the Big Horn Junior won the Class 2A State Golf Title in Lovell. On Friday she shot a first day 95 and followed that up with a 98 on Saturday to finish a stroke ahead of Sundance's Kacie O'Connor.

The first day of Fall for 2012 began on September 22, at 8:49 am MDT in the Northern Hemisphere. Seeing this display at the home of Marge and Harvey Purcell, just south of the college, reminded me that Fall was on the horizon - a thought worth showing and sharing with you today, now that it has officially arrived. "It's September 22nd - Think Fall."

On Thursday evening the Big Horn Lady Rams made it look easy as they downed the Moorcroft Lady Wolves in three sets: 25-5, 25-9, & 25-12. Here you see Lady Ram Senior Gracie Goldhammer going up to "hammer" the ball between defenders #15 Kimberly VerBurg and #8 Kristen Noyes to put her team up 11 to 3 in game two.

The folks from Sheridan Tent and Awning were busy recovering a wagon in Big Horn Thursday afternoon. Jason Bare was working on the outside as the crew recovered the wagon above the Big Horn Smokehouse & Saloon at 158 Johnson Street in Big Horn - the new covering depicts the new name of the business.

The Sheridan Recreation District Little Guy Football Teams provided half-time entertainment on Homer Scott Field Friday evening. The field was filled with 5th & 6th grade football players playing simultaneous games at the half-time break of the Sheridan Broncs and Evanston Red Devils High School football game.

In high school volleyball action Saturday afternoon the Sheridan Lady Broncs took on the #2 ranked Cheyenne East Lady Thunderbirds at home. Here East's Leah Cheney hammers one across the net but a pair of Lady Broncs: #30 Baylee Baker and Taylor Townsend go up and Baylee gets the block while #1 Brynne Gardner is alert and ready if needed on the play.
