Saturday evening on the Big Horn Campus, after 43 couples had promenaded in the spotlight before a standing room only audience, the royalty was announced. The Sheridan High School Treblemakers raise their right hands at the conclusion of "Operator" as Max Marquis works his Alto Saxophone during Thursday evening's Vocal Music Concert. The "Operator" included vocal solos by Emily Hutchinson, Libby Hall and Ellie Sweeney.

On Friday night between basketball games in Dayton long-time basketball coach Larry Moser was recognized and presented with a plaque honoring his 35-years of service. During his career as a coach he amassed a record of 309-179 and took the Eagles to a state championship in 1994.
The U.S. Postal Service announced new prices and services in its Release No. 12-114 on October 11, 2012 for rates effective on January 27, 2013. Residents of the Sheridan area may not be aware of the new prices. Perhaps because many use First-Class Mail Forever Stamps there is not much need for publicity of the rate increases that take effect Sunday.
Seeing this bald eagle between Big Horn and Sheridan serves as reminder that the 2013 Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey will be conducted on January 12th. A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 8th in the Inner Circle of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library at 6:00 pm. If there are any survey routes left unclaimed they will be assigned at this meeting.
