Rain couldn't dampen the Sheridan High School Homecoming Pep Rally spirit on Grinnell Plaza Thursday evening. After recognizing the athletics of the fall sports teams it was time to burn the "Bronc" and that they did right in the middle of Grinnell Plaza. After that some dancing broke out in front of the stage as the students continued in the spirit of homecoming.
It was half-way through the season before the Lady Bronc Swimmers & Divers showed off their talents to the home crowd. The Sheridan girls finished first in 11 of the 12 events en-route to sinking Buffalo 128 to 56 Tuesday afternoon.
With this run Monday in Steer Roping, Rio Lohse turns in a 20.9 and a 67.9 on four to win the Don King Days Steer Roping Competition and take home the coveted Don King Days Buckle. Monday's action rounded out the 25th Anniversary of the Don Kings Day held at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. The Don King Days Cup is in the books and the winning team in white - Tito's - came out on top beating the Brewers in blue 6 to 4 to take home a coveted Don King Buckle. After the game the teams met on the field for awards and recognition.
