If you thought the decorations at 1200 S. Thurmond would cease when Agnes Blaney retired - you were wrong. If anything there appears to be more in the display than in last years. It is definitely worth a drive by, especially after dark, to really enjoy the view.

"Hunter's Moon" Over the Powder Horn

"Hunter's Moon," the first full moon after the Harvest Moon, is named for the time to hunt in preparation for winter. So perhaps it is time to fill the powder horn, load up the musket and embark upon the hunt. This photo was taken from near the entrance to the Powder Horn Golf Community looking northeast at 6:18 pm Monday evening.

Partners in Pink

Just prior to Saturday morning's "The Link - Partners in Pink" 4th Annual Run/Walk, a Breast Cancer Awareness Event, members from Sheridan County School District No. 2 posed for this photo op. The group of about 60 were part of the 700 or so that participated in the 10Km, 5K run/walk, 1.5 mile walk that started in Whitney Commons at 10:00 am and finished at the soccer field of the YMCA.

Rams shoot down the Eagles

On Friday afternoon in Dayton it was no match as the unbeaten #2 ranked Big Horn Rams trounced the winless Tongue River Eagles 49 to 8. The TD's came early and often - this one near the 4:50 mark of the 1st quarter was a hand off from Connor McCafferty to Scott Passini. Scott took the hand off, plowed through a trio of eagles, burst into the open at the 40 and ran in for the score.

Fiber Arts 15 on "Wyoming Libraries Snapshot Day"

The Library Mezzanine of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library is literally decked out in wall-to-wall quilts for all to admire. You may have missed the opening reception but you have until the end of October to view these works of art. At the desk at the top of the stairs is a binder of photos and clippings going back to the first fiber show: July-August 1998.
