The 4A East Regional Champion Sheridan Lady Broncs are again packing their bags for a trip south - this time not as far as Cheyenne as their destination is the Casper Events Center for the Class 4A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament. Sheridan took on Riverton on Court 4A at 3:00 pm Thursday. Then Sheridan took on Campbell County on Friday at 4:30 pm.

Deb Pruss is on the other end of the phone call from Dixie Johnson, Executive Director of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, hearing that she won the 2012 Toyota Camry - the Grand Prize in the "Chamberfest Toyota Giveaway." In the center is Ryan Franklin from Radio Shack shaking hands with the 2nd Place winner Cliff Swinyer who won the 46" Samsung LED TV.

The highway into Big Horn is lined with volleyball signs, one for each of the Lady Rams' team members, as they prepare to leave for the Class 2A - 2011 State Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Rams will be on Court 2A of the Casper Events Center Thursday at 6:00pm, in first round action, taking on the Lady Bobcats from Thermopolis.

Last Saturday was a beautiful day in Kendrick Park as pets brought their owners to the Band Shell for the 11th Annual Pet-O-Ween Pet Costume Contest. There were 84 entires, with some entries having multiple pets each contributing $5.00 and the selling of raffle tickets together raised more than $1,200 for the Dog & Cat Shelter.

Hans, Greta and Gabby stole the stage when it came to the "most creative" category of the 11th Annual Pet-O-Ween as they paraded in front of the judges and then posed for this photo.

A wagon full of fun was had when Suzie Puckett & Kathy Kubsch paraded their "Clown Car" across the stage of the Band Shell in Kendrick Park Saturday for the 11th Annual Pet-O-Ween. In and around the wagon were Shilo, Greta, Beemer, Petie, Heidi, Jack, Cookie, Stella and Bailey - consisting of 4 aussies, 2 wieners, 1 yorkie, 1 Jack Russel and 1 Golden Doodle.

The Big Horn Lady Rams kept the first game against the Lady Panthers from Wright close until Brittany Belt, belted this one over the net and past the block of Lady Rams Jadyn Mirich and Mali Wright to make the score 23 to 19. The Lady Rams then took a time out but could not bounce back as the Lady Panthers took the first game 25-21.

To the surprise of all - and I do mean ALL - was what came out of a large black plastic container that was carried on to the stage by Kevin and Dalton Taylor with help from others. A "poodle as a python" - an 18-foot Reticulated Python named Dora is what appeared when the lid was opened.
