The Sheridan Rampage took on the Billings Rebels just after noon on Saturday - two of the 72 teams hitting the courts this weekend in and around Sheridan in the Holiday Inn 2011 Winter Shoot Out. When the dust on this game settled it was Sheridan's 6th grade Rampage team all over the Billings Rebels 50 to 19.

That was the song title of the final selection at "A Winter Concert" put on by the Sheridan High School Band Department on Wednesday evening. Band Director, Diane Knutson came out decked out in red & black and the band in black & white and wow, what a show they put on for 75-minutes.

It is 1:00 pm Tuesday and the Woodland Park Elementary Orchestra is on stage ready for "An Island Christmas" in front of a standing room only audience as Principal Jack Brimhall welcomes the guests. The orchestra started with "Jolly Old St. Nick" and two other selections followed by the Woodland Park Honor Choir.

Swing Into Christmas is exactly what the Sheridan High School group "Spectrum" did as they sang and performed that medley to kick off the Winter Concert Thursday evening. The entire SHS Vocal Music Department joined in as the evening progressed with selections directed by Ashley Lecholat and accompanied by Lisa Robertson on the piano.

In front of a beautiful Sheridan area backdrop "Resound," hosted by the First Interstate Bank, shared handbell music for the 16th Annual Sheridan Christmas Stroll just as it has done for over ten of its more than fifteen years of sharing with the community. Their musical selections include classic hymns and contemporary arrangements for the handbell choir.

Enroute to this handshake with Sheridan High School Running Back Jordan Roberts Sheridan's Head Football Coach Don Julian announced that Roberts had just been honored by the Gatorade Company as its 2011-12 Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year. Roberts joins former Sheridan Bronc Austin Woodward who won the award for 2009-10.

Looks like Nicholas Aasby, Ginnette Aasby, Carol Ashbrook, Gabriel Aasby and Kim Gilbert are making tracks for the "Sister's Christmas Catechism" - The Mystery of the Magi's Gold. Are you? It is a fundraiser to benefit the Holy Name Catholic School and will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at the Junior High School Early Auditorium. Doors open at 5:00 pm with the show starting at 7:00 pm.
