The kids are lining up for the running of the 31st Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. The Volunteers of America (VOA) Northern Rockies is hosting this year's event as the kids are getting ready for the 1-mile run and then it will be time for the not so young who will go 4-laps around Kendrick Park - 5 kilometers or 2.8miles, take your choice.

Last up for awards at Wednesday's Fall Athletic Awards Ceremony in the auditorium of Big Horn High School was a stage full of Big Horn Ram Football players and support crew - most wearing shirts that read; "Team Dow." For the next 70-minutes starting with the managers each student came to the podium and was greeted with a handshake and complimentary words from Coach Dow about their contribution to

"We Are Big Horn" says the newly placed Bella Graphics & Display signage on the outside north wall of the Big Horn High School (BHHS) - and deservedly so. On September 15, 2011, Big Horn High School was recognized by the Secretary of Education as one of 304 schools (nationally) as a Blue Ribbon School for 2010.

Sheridan fans filled the grandstand last Friday at Scott Field for the playoff game against Campbell County. Now let's fill the stadium at the University of Wyoming for the 4A State Championship Football game on Saturday at 4:00 pm. - the Sheridan Broncs will be taking on the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds.

Thursday evening the William Shakespeare Play "Romeo & Juliet" opened the first of four performances presented by the Sheridan High School Drama Club in the Sue Henry Auditorium at Sheridan High School. Director Aaron Odom put forth a more modern look in this performance by telling the story as if teenagers of today were placed in the middle of the feud between the Montagues and the Capulets.

It was snowy evening outside but inside the Big Horn High School Auditorium Tuesday evening it was a musical delight. The evening started with the Big Horn High School Band directed by Ariel Downing performing such numbers as the Civil War Suite. Then came the Big Horn High School Choir with soloist Christian Klepperich.
