On Friday afternoon in Dayton it was no match as the unbeaten #2 ranked Big Horn Rams trounced the winless Tongue River Eagles 49 to 8. The TD's came early and often - this one near the 4:50 mark of the 1st quarter was a hand off from Connor McCafferty to Scott Passini. Scott took the hand off, plowed through a trio of eagles, burst into the open at the 40 and ran in for the score.

The Library Mezzanine of the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library is literally decked out in wall-to-wall quilts for all to admire. You may have missed the opening reception but you have until the end of October to view these works of art. At the desk at the top of the stairs is a binder of photos and clippings going back to the first fiber show: July-August 1998.

Midway through Fire Prevention Week, October 7 through October 13, 2012, as we learn and work on ways to prevent fires it is perhaps fitting to pause and remember two Sheridan Firefighters, Edward N. Green (1940 -2007) and Fred W. Tossie (1887-1929).

Sunday afternoon and evening was a special time in Big Horn. The recently opened Big Horn Smokehouse and Saloon was the location for the 4th Annual Lane Goldhammer Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser.

This set by Dylan Wright to her Senior Sister Mali Wright and the resultant hit for point #25 in game three Saturday garnered the Lady Broncs a 3-game sweep of the Lady Bisons from Cheyenne. It was the Lady Broncs final home meeting and Senior Day to boot as they swept the 3-games with wins of 25-7, 25-9 and 25-13.

Freshman Mackenzie Dougherty won the 100 Meter Butterfly Friday afternoon with a state qualifying time of 1:15.23 beating out Riverton's Jordan Settlemire by .10-seconds for first place.

When they were crowned at the Sheridan High School Homecoming assembly Friday morning little did King Casey Carlton and Queen Hailey Ligocki know they would make their Friday evening grand entrance before the brave Sheridan fans in the first major snowfall of the season.

The Sheridan Broncs take the field 5-minutes before kickoff at home against Laramie Friday evening in what could be called the "Snow Bowl." It took but 14-seconds for the Broncs to get on the board as Junior Daniel Sessions scored the first of his 6 TD's on the evening.
