The Sheridan Concert Band

Sheridan's Bill Avery conducted the Sheridan Concert Band - the 2nd Concert in the Park of 2012 - on a beautiful Tuesday evening as this "High Dynamic Range" photo indicates. The next Concert in the Park, on July 10th, is the Smokehouse Band from Minnesota that concert organizer David Kuzara says is "Awesome" and so far this season he is two for two when it comes to quality concerts.

A Full Moon Arising

A full moon is rising over the Big Horn Equestrian Center east of Big Horn where in just 24-hours, on Wednesday evening, the only fireworks show in Sheridan County will be taking place. The near full moon on Wednesday mixed with the fireworks by Bruce Burns should make for a great aerial display as we celebrate Independence Day 2012.

Congratulations To 12 New Americans!

Helldrivers of Daytona

In the front Lucky Stubbs played by broadway guest cast member PJ Griffith and Count Portobello played by Aaron Odom are driving a Daytona race car in the test drive of: The new speedway rock musical "Helldrivers of Daytona" during Saturday evening's WYO Theater performance.

Best of Show

Kent and Avis Lundine of Casper with their 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door hard top took home the coveted "Best of Show" at the 2012 KARZ Rod Run held on Main Street on Saturday. The 126 entries were narrowed to but one and Kent and Avis were presented the - one of a kind - award (made by Adler Welding of Sheridan) during the banquet held at the Kalif Shrine Auditorium Saturday evening.

Park2Park on a Western Flyer

Former Mayor Jim Wilson is about 7 miles into the 10-mile round trip between South Park to North Park and back to South Park on Saturday morning. He was seen zooming down Alger Avenue on the return trip aboard his Western Flyer. You could run, bike, walk or stroll on today's outing and dogs were welcome.
