The Sheridan High School wrestlers took on Billings Senior Tuesday evening in their first home match of the year. Sheridan's Colin Harnish, shown here, won over Evan Turnquist in the 126# weight class by a fall at 1:40 to give Sheridan 6-points. Sheridan also won by falls in the 160# and 195# weight classes with Alex Smiley winning at :40 and Tory Music winning at 3:30.

Saturday the annual Sheridan area Christmas bird count was underway by the Bighorn Chapter of the Audubon Society when these Bohemian Waxwings were seen in Big Horn. But how do you count 'em when there are so many? This year's count is being headed up by Peter Mohseni and will include a 15-mile circle around the city of Sheridan.

The Sheridan High School Band Department presented "A Winter Concert" Wednesday evening in the High School Auditorium. Featured were the Beginning Band, Symphonic Band and Percussion.

Sheridan Junior High School 6th grade student Giovanna Vaira signs her hand print after pledging to remain free of all harmful and illegal chemical substances. Giovanna was one of 135 sixth graders, 98 seventh graders and 37 eighth graders who have decided to make the "Hands Off Drugs" pledge.

Logan and Jordan were among the last visitors with Father Christmas on Sunday evening at the Trail End State Historic Site. Logan and Jordan each visited with Father Christmas and each received a shiny brass bell that put smiles on each of their faces.

Saturday was the day and the Kalif Shrine was the place to be if you ever were or are still a kid at heart. Balloons, food, toys, Rudolph, Mrs. Claus and of course Santa were inside the Shrine Auditorium to meet, greet and treat you. Santa had a lot of help from the many Shriner helpers on hand.
