This will be the last official weekend of summer, as fall begins on September 22nd, but it will be a busy one in Buffalo, with plenty of happenings to take part in.

Now here's Sheridan Media's look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Sept. 16, 1916.

Just east of Sheridan, there is a 5 plus acre field full of pumpkins of all size and color. The Koltiska Pumpkin Patch opened its field for the 12th year to the public Wednesday according to owner Vicki Koltiska.

On Saturday, Sheridan Memorial Hospital will host their annual birthday party for 5 year olds in the facilities back parking lot. Cecile Pattison, with the hospital’s Community Relations, said that all children born in 2011 are invited.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is conducting a special survey to update lifetime and pioneer license holder information.
