An elk hunt, custom made-to-order chaps and a set of new tires were just a few of the items auctioned off Saturday night during the National Finals Rodeo Fantasy Party held as a fundraiser for the Sheridan High School Rodeo team.

The Christmas holiday shopping season traditionally begins on Black Friday, but in Buffalo, it began today and will really get kicked into gear tonight with a fireworks display at 5pm in Prosinski Park.

Hundreds of people flocked to downtown Sheridan Friday night to shop, ride hay wagons and other vehicles and, of course, check the numbers on their Stroll buttons during this year's Christmas Stroll.

The Sheridan Civic Theater Guild will premier their second play of the season, A Bright New Boise by Samuel D. Hunter, on Thursday at Sheridan’s Carriage House Theater. The play will be performed again on the 2-4 and the 8-11.

According to the Wyoming Department of Health, sexually transmitted diseases continue to escalate in Wyoming.
