The Buffalo Chamber of Commerce had their annual Chamber Awards Luncheon Wednesday, to recognize chamber members for various accomplishments.

Volunteers of America representatives gave their quarterly report to the Johnson County Commissioners at their last meeting.

The outdoor activities program for senior citizens starts next week. Jane Perkins is the activities director for the Sheridan Senior Citizens Center.

The manner in which staffers of the Sheridan Travel and Tourism organization promote the area has changed a bit since the Sheridan Chamber of Commerce moved its offices from the visitor’s center on Fifth Street to downtown.

State wildlife officials continue meetings today to discuss management objectives for big game herds in the Sheridan region.

Buffalo's City Works Director Les Hook gave his final report for May at the last city council meeting, discussing the status of various projects, reporting a problem with the city's water salesman, and requesting a schedule change for his crews.

The Johnson County Commissioner's Scholarships were awarded by the commissioners at their meeting May 20th.

Awarded from Buffalo High School were Teara Gass and Joshua Jackson.
The alternate was Hannah Chapin.

From Kaycee High School, Lakyn White was awarded the scholarship and Sean Waybrandt was named the alternate.
