Johnson County's Commissioners are waiting to assess this year's Legislative session and all that may affect county government until bills before Governor Matt Mead are considered and either signed or vetoed.

Buffalo Mayor Mike Johnson made a proclamation at the city council's Tuesday meeting, commending Buffalo High School senior Sadie Gruntmeir for her selfless work in the community as a volunteer.

During their regular meeting this week, the Johnson County School Board discussed the pending retirement of District Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jeanie Iberlin, approved hiring a teacher, and also approved budget cuts for the coming school year.
