Unofficially, Roger Miller has received the highest number of votes for the position of Sheridan Mayor in Tuesday’s primary election. Presumably, he will move on to the general election in November.

After the votes were counted, Bob Perry has won the primary election for the lone seat available on the Johnson County Commissioners that will be vacated by Jim Hicks. He beat out his nearest competitor, David Loden, 942 votes to 606.

The races for the Sheridan County Commissioners and the Sheridan City Council in Tuesday’s primary elections were very close. Unofficially the two incumbents for the commissioners seats, Mike Nikel and Tom Ringley, will move on to the general election in November.

Liz Cheney is the winner of Wyoming's sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to the Associated Press.

In unofficial returns that don't include absentee votes, Mark Kinner was re-elected to the Wyoming House seat that he was appointed to last year, and incumbent Rosie Berger of Big Horn lost her bid for re-election in a race against Bo Biteman.

By the time the Sheridan City Council Meeting started Monday night, the whole chamber was full, mostly with those interested in the Wrench Ranch Land Exchange Agreement. This agreement was explained by Public Works Director Nic Bateson.

There are two seats up for election today for the Buffalo City Council and one available for the Johnson County Commissioners. Bill Hawley and Dave Long will be leaving the Council and Jim Hicks will be vacating his seat with the Commissioners.
